Beta signup: When you request beta access, we collect your first name, last name, email address, and role (gun store owner, buyer, or FFL).

Transaction data: When using GCX to buy or sell, we collect transaction details including the items purchased, parties involved, shipping information, and associated FFL license numbers. This data is necessary for legal compliance.

Usage data: We collect standard web analytics (pages visited, device type, referral source) to improve the platform. We do not use third-party advertising trackers.

Cookies: GCX uses session cookies required for platform functionality. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

3. How We Use Your Information

To process beta access requests and notify you when access is ready
To facilitate and record firearms transactions in compliance with federal law
To verify FFL status of buyers, sellers, and transfer dealers

4. Information We Do Not Sell or Share

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not share your information with advertisers or data brokers.

We may share information with: FFL dealers involved in your transaction (as required to complete the transfer); service providers who process payments or provide infrastructure (under data processing agreements); law enforcement or regulatory agencies when required by law or valid legal process.

5. Firearms Transaction Records

Certain transaction records are subject to federal recordkeeping requirements applicable to licensed dealers. GCX retains transaction records in accordance with applicable ATF requirements. These records may be subject to lawful inspection by authorized federal agencies.

6. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit (HTTPS), encrypted storage for sensitive data, and access controls limiting data access to authorized personnel. No system is perfectly secure; we encourage you to use a strong, unique password for your GCX account.

7. Data Retention

Beta signup data is retained until you request deletion or the beta program concludes. Transaction records are retained for the periods required by applicable law. Analytics data is retained in aggregated, anonymized form.

8. Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by contacting us. Note that some data may be subject to legal retention requirements that prevent deletion. California residents may have additional rights under the CCPA.

9. Children

GCX is not directed to individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from minors. If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a minor, contact us immediately.
